Job Summary: South Shore Social is looking for a warm, friendly, and proactive Server to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on making guests feel like a top priority and is skilled at sharing information about our menu, upcoming events, and facility offerings. The ideal candidate will create a memorable experience through attentive service, detailed communication, and a personable approach that ensures every guest feels welcome and informed.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Exceptional Guest Service: Greet guests warmly, ensure they feel valued, and prioritize their needs throughout their visit. Address any questions or special requests to enhance their experience.
Menu Knowledge and Recommendations: Thoroughly understand the menu, including food and drink offerings, to provide recommendations tailored to each guestu2019s preferences.
Communicate Club Events and Offerings: Engage guests by highlighting upcoming events, special promotions, and social club activities, helping them stay informed and excited about South Shore Social.
Order Accuracy and Timeliness: Take accurate orders and communicate them promptly to the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
Maintain a Clean and Organized Workspace: Keep tables, service areas, and dining spaces clean and organized. Reset tables and assist with other tasks as needed to maintain a welcoming environment.
Collaborate with Team Members: Work effectively with other servers, bartenders, hosts, and kitchen staff to provide seamless service.
Handle Payments and Close Transactions: Process payments accurately, operate the POS system, and follow cash-handling protocols to ensure financial integrity.
Qualifications:
Prior experience as a server in a fast-paced, high-quality hospitality environment
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with guests
Passion for providing exceptional guest experiences
Good knowledge of food, beverages, and basic hospitality practices
Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks
Must be of legal age to serve alcohol (if required) and have any necessary certifications
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
