Job Summary: South Shore Social is seeking a skilled, personable, and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team! As a Bartender, you’ll be at the heart of our guest experience, crafting high-quality beverages, engaging with customers, and helping to create a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate will be experienced, quick on their feet, and passionate about excellent service and mixology.
Key Responsibilities:
Craft and Serve Drinks: Prepare and serve a wide variety of cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and guest preferences.
Customer Interaction: Greet guests promptly, engage in friendly conversation, take drink orders, and create a welcoming environment that enhances each guest’s experience.
Maintain Cleanliness and Organization: Keep the bar area clean, organized, and stocked, including wiping down surfaces, restocking supplies, and disposing of empty bottles and trash.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, track usage, and communicate needs to the Bar Manager for efficient stock management.
Handle Payments: Process transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems, ensuring correct pricing and adhering to cash-handling procedures.
Follow Safety and Compliance Standards: Adhere to all safety, health, and alcohol service regulations to ensure a safe and responsible environment.
Team Collaboration: Work alongside bar backs, servers, and other staff members to ensure a seamless experience for guests.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Bartender in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
Knowledge of mixology, classic and contemporary cocktails, wine, and beer
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
Strong multitasking and organizational skills
Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods
Must be of legal drinking age
Flexible schedule, with availability on nights, weekends, and holidays
Current food handler’s permit and alcohol server certification (if required by local laws)
