Job Summary: South Shore Social is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Lounge Bartender to deliver a refined and memorable experience for our guests. In this role, you’ll be expected to showcase your expertise in cocktails, wines, bourbons, and tequilas, helping guide guests through a distinguished menu while ensuring top-quality service. Your role will be pivotal in providing an elevated experience, creating exceptional drinks, and engaging guests with your extensive knowledge of the beverage world.
Key Responsibilities:
Craft Premium Beverages: Prepare classic and craft cocktails, with a particular focus on high-end spirits, including bourbons, tequilas, and wines. Tailor drink recommendations to guests’ preferences and provide expert advice on our selection.
Guest Interaction and Education: Engage guests in an inviting and professional manner, sharing your knowledge of cocktails, wine varietals, and spirits to elevate their experience. Offer thoughtful recommendations and educate guests on drink pairings, flavors, and unique offerings.
Maintain Bar Quality and Ambiance: Ensure the lounge bar is always clean, organized, and stocked with premium ingredients and glassware, creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Inventory and Stock Management: Monitor inventory levels of high-end spirits, wines, and other bar essentials. Report low stock items to the Bar Manager and assist with ordering to maintain a curated selection.
Handle Payments and Record Sales: Accurately process payments, operate the POS system, and maintain cash-handling standards.
Follow Compliance and Safety Standards: Adhere to all local alcohol service and health regulations, maintaining a safe, responsible, and professional environment.
Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with other bartenders, bar backs, and lounge staff to ensure seamless, top-notch service for every guest.
Qualifications:
Extensive Bar Experience: Minimum of 3+ years as a bartender in a high-end lounge or cocktail bar
Beverage Expertise: Deep knowledge of cocktails, wine varietals, bourbons, tequilas, and other fine spirits
Exceptional Customer Service Skills: Proven track record of delivering a memorable guest experience through outstanding service and engagement
Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to manage time and multi-task in a busy lounge environment
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and perform physically demanding tasks
Must be of legal drinking age and possess any required certifications for alcohol service
